I really want you to read this piece to the end because academic fraudsters are in full charge of Liberia.
For 31 years, Albert Tugbe Chie has been feeding on academic fraud. Based on this glaring fraud of obtaining an “MS in Economic Geology”, he even served as Associate Dean of Engineering, Chairman of Geology Department, Assistant Professor of Geology at UL, and Assistant Minister for Mineral Exploration.
Chie was and he’s still unfit to serve these strategic and technical posts because this fraudster in Chie never studied “Economic Geology” anywhere as he has been falsely claiming in his CV and Public Profile since 1990. He is not a “Geo-Economist” as Liberians, including students and lecturers at UL, often call him. We are finally ending this 31-year-old fraud in just 5 counts:
We pushed Chie and he finally released his so-called credentials including his CV and “Degree Certificate”. This is what we wanted. Albert Chie is claiming to have obtained an “MS in Economic Geology”. In fact, in his CV, he’s claiming to have even specialized in this field. Can you imagine? This is a big LIE because Rochester University has never offered such academic program neither has it offered any specialization in “Economic Geology” since its establishment in 1850. Please click and read:
The information about Albert T. Chie on Rochester’s official website contradicts or conflicts what he has in/on his CV, Public Profile, and Degree Certificate. His credentials or academic documents are carrying “MS” and “Economic Geology” while Rochester University has “MA in Geology” for him. Please click these links and read page 20 of Rochester’s 1990 Commencement Program:
On page 20, what do you see? Master of Arts, Albert Chie, Geology. Please see attached screenshot which simplifies everything. Did you see any “Specialization in Economic Geology” or did you see any “MS in Economic Geology”? Or, did you see any “MS in Geology”? Big No. It’s MA in Geology and this credential is far below an MS in Economic Geology or an MS in Geology. Like Speaker Bhofal Chambers, So is Albert Chie. The duo are leading academic fraudsters. The Legislature is in deep trouble.
I am going to rip Albert Chie’s degree certificate in just few seconds. It is a 1990 scam or a flimflam. Take a careful look at his degree certificate. See attached screenshot. Do you see any academic discipline specified either as in “Geology” or “Economic Geology”? No. The Certificate only carries “Master of Science”. Master of Science in what field of study? No field of study is indicated. Which degree certificate carries MS or MA without any specific field of study (e.g. Geology)? Which University does this? Albert Chie is a big fraud. His so-called degree certificate is carrying “Master of Science” while Rochester’s 1990 Commencement Program is reflecting “Master of Arts”. Two different things at all.
How do we reconcile this big fraud which Chie has peddled for 31 years? Imagine for a moment, Chie used his fake credentials (degree certificate and CV) to dupe or defraud our system for 31 years. He hugely benefited from this FRAUD by serving in prominent public positions for more than 3 decades and no one could detect this fraud; not even UL or GOL. Wow
About two days ago, I challenged Mr. Senate Pro Tempore on his false claim of obtaining “MS in Economic Geology”. This was what I said, “If Albert T. Chie ever obtained MS in Economic Geology from anywhere or any University, UL should revoke my B.Sc. degree.” This open challenge still remains. Chie does not have any degree in Economic Geology; not even B.Sc., M.Sc., or MA in Economic Geology. This is what he has after attending a 15-month graduate seminar at Rochester University: Master of Arts (MA) in Geology. MA in Geology at Rochester was like a refresher program (seminar) that mainly focused on literature and not quantitative.
MS in Geology or MS in Economic Geology is more quantitative, complex, practical, scientific, and technical. MA in Geology is like a reading program. So, Chie is not even fit to be a professor or even a lecturer of Geology at any school. Someone with an MA in Geology is not actually a Geologist; least to mention a “Geo-Economist”. No one should ever call this corrupt and fraudulent Senate Pro Tempore in Albert Chie a “Geo-Economist” anymore. He lied about his credentials and this is what makes him an academic fraudster. Important Note: For more than 20 years now, Rochester University no longer offers this seminar program because it is really of no use in this contemporary period: MA in Geology. They now offer MS in Geosciences. Click and read: https://www.rochester.edu/…/prospective/programs.html.
Probably, Albert Tugbeh Chie has not read what “Economic Geology” entails or requires. Let him read: https://www.wits.ac.za/…/science/msc-economic-geology/.
After exposing Chie’s fraud pertinent to his false claim of obtaining “MS in Economic Geology”, his office has explicitly conceded but however jumped to another argument. It has been established that he did not obtain any “MS in Economic Geology” neither is he a “Geo-Economist”.
Chie has sent his Chief of Office Staff, Lavoisier LegalMind Julu, and his bag boy Eugene Tuan-wleh Williams to defend him. These duplicitous apologists of Chie cannot even compose a fitting sentence without a sea of errors. They have zero ability to research, logicize, analogize, and analyze. I really do not blame them because ignorance is free and cheap. This inferior good (ignorance) is not on sale.
Here’s their new argument, “No one gets an MA in Geology because Geology is a Nature Science and not an Art or Social Science.” The Senate Pro Tempore needs to send serious intellectuals and academics to defend his fraud; and not namby-pamby flunkies and leeching poltroons who are malnourished in terms of research, grammar, and ideology.
Let me quickly trash their next argument. Do people get MA in Geology? Yes, Geology has an MA component and people do obtain such credential like Albert Chie obtained in 1990. Here is my proof:
MA in Geology is still being offered by some universities but what is of more worth and essence in today’s world is MS in Geology. The reason is just simple. MA deals mostly with literature (reading) while MS is more quantitative, complex, and technical. Because Geology is a technical field of study, employers mostly focus and consider people with MS and not MA. I hope Julu and Eugene are learning.
- Albert Chie does not have any “MS in Economic Geology” as he has been falsely claiming for 31 years. He lied and misled UL, GOL, and Liberians in general.
- Albert Chie also does not have any “MS in Geology”. What he has is MA in Geology.
- Albert Chie is not a “Geo-Economist”. He is a disgraced Senate Pro Tempore who inflated his credentials in order to frighten his colleagues and criminally acquire economic opportunities.
- Albert Chie is an academic fraudster. He even lied to the Cubans that he has an “MS in Economic Geology”. Please click and read here: http://misiones.minrex.gob.cu/…/charge-daffaires-cuba…
- Albert Chie has been involved with or linked to several scandals of corruption and malpractices in public service. The voice of this same Chie was recently heard on a leaked audio which points to corruption. This same Chie almost got imprisoned for corruption. So, faking his credentials is not even strange or surprising. See links: https://www.liberianlistener.com/…/liberia-senate…/ and https://thenewdawnliberia.com/senator-faces-arrest/.
- Finally, UL should revoke that “professorship” from Chie and expel him from even lecturing Geology. He’s unfit. The Senate should even impeach him for lying under oath. That’s perjury.
Recommendation: The urgency to establish an Academic Crimes Court in Liberia cannot be overemphasized.
Liberia and Liberians deserve far better than academic fraud and fake credentialists.
